The United Nations has declared 2011 to be the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests. In Sweden the network Nature's Year is celebrating the International Year of Forests.

About 30 organisations and governmental agencies are collaborating in the network Nature's Year. We want to create involvement, disseminate information and increase knowledge about the forest.

We have a shared responsibility for the forest, so it is important that we work together. On this website we will have information on what is happening in Sweden during the International Year of Forests, including activities in our calendar.
